About Us
Make it Maryville was born from a late-night conversation between friends and local business owners in Maryville, MO who were discussing new ways to shed light on our community’s unique goods and services. These friends wanted to encourage economic development and growth in our community and from this conversation the Northwest Missouri Moon Festival was born.
Our name hails from a song written by Jerry Forney and recorded by one of our board member's father, John Marriott, titled “Missouri Moon”. We hope that you and your family will join us as we celebrate our combined goal of encouraging economic growth and strength in the best little town in North West Missouri.
